Hi there, we’re ASHRAM,

a darkwave band from Naples, Italy; we have been playing for nearly 20 years in our country and abroad, with several tours in Portugal and concerts in France, Germany, Holland, China, Greece and Albania.

Our music is totally acoustic, just piano (Luigi Rubino), violin (Edo Notarloberti) and vocals (Sergio Panarella); our sound has been defined “neo-classical, neo-romantic, rich in melancholia and soul.”

We started in 1997 with a demo CD called “For my sun”, then we were signed by the French label Prikosnovenie which released our debut album “Ashram” in 2002. An international tour of concerts followed and then in 2006 the Portuguese label Equilibrium released our second album, “Shining silver skies”. Both works have been enthusiastically reviewed in international magazines and fanzines.

In 2008 our first album was newly printed in a new edition with a bonus track, the previously unreleased “Fourth”.

In 2010 Dying Art Productions released the DVD “Gathered under shining silver skies”, a document of our live performance in China of 2009.

Our song “Fairy wind” has been chosen as the soundtrack of the WWF video campaign “Tiger evolution ends”, and two more videos have been officially made and broadcast: “Forever at your mercy” and “Maria and the violin’s strings”.

At the moment we’re recording our third album called “Human and Divine”, and this financial campaign on Musicraiser will allow us to afford its production. We want to thank you in advance for your kind and precious support and we’re looking forward to letting you all listen to our latest tracks!
