'Weichen+Zunder' was this german bands' debut album and it opened the doors with the surprise hits 'Radioaktiv' and 'Gammelfleisch'. 'Do not trust any bomb that you did not place yourself’ - that was HELDMASCHINE's statement regarding their second studio album which was consequently entitled 'Propaganda'. The record contained both 'Propaganda' and 'Weiter!' singles which turned out to be enormously successful for the band. What also helped, were the ominous and impressive videos that Mark Feuerstake shot for the band - each a very own story alsongside the corresponding song, creating a cult following on Youtube that lasts until today. The band always took extra pride in writing the scripts together with their record producer and developed an individual, strong visual presence.
They returned a year later - with nothing but lies (= 'LUEGEN', their 3rd album). 'Wer einmal luegt' translates into 'A liar will not be believed...' but the band has a new twist for the old proverb: '...and if you believe ME - I will lie straight into your face.' Manic and teutonic as always, they started to blend brute electro force with heavy drums and guitars, while frontman René shouted away mid-nineties style. We heard world music style samples as well as Gerrrrman vocoder vocals whereas children in the streets are screaming alongside an earcatching chorus. To top it off, record producer Tom Dams (of Klaus Schulze, Karma and Solar Moon fame) once again let HELDMASCHINE pay tribute to their own roots: This time it is 'Die Roboter’ by fellow teutons KRAFTWERK – and no other track could be more appropriate to end an album with: A fierce steamroller, paving away across those genre borders of NDH, metal or electro-industrial.

'Lügen' was followed by 2016's 'Himmelskörper' which is the bands most developed album to date - as the menbers themselves state. Numerous tours followed, and until today, Heldmaschine is a given on any big summer festival, be it Wacken, M'era Luna, WGT, Rockharz or Alpenflair, Amphi and the likes.
In 2018 their first live album 'Laut+Live' will be released. Heldmaschine will present it live as special guest supporting fellow german rockers HÄMATOM.
